After all of my bike tests, I put together this movie with some help from Dave Helman. I used the other tripod head and it worked better, however there are just way too many vibrations that go through a bike. Helmet cams are a much better idea.

This will be my last bike mount video, because I got stuck on the mount and rode into traffic thank God I didn't die (or my camera get damaged). So I hope you enjoy. Dave will have a full length video with actual video involved.

  • I really like this. It might be because I have always loved that song but, together with the visuals - including the yellow frame contrasted with the blue handlebar wrap (and the awesome kayak break in the middle) this comes together wonderfully. Yep. I like it.

  • The funny thing is, it works better with your dad's bike then I think yours would have. Your shoes, helmet, and bike frame along with the song made for perfect settings...

Again, have fun in Texas ya'll!!

  • Love it. I've been meaning to put together something like this with my pedco ultraclamp mount. (amazon.com/Pedco-UltraClamp-Clamping-System-Camera/dp/B000ABB4HC)

Was this a timelapse, or is it sped-up video? I'm really curious to see video to be able to see how bumpy it looks. Thanks for posting!! Glad you didn't die.

my bike movie was made with a bogen super clamp with the Bogen / Manfrotto 322RC2 Grip Action Ballhead and a Canon 5D with a timer release cable. no video, all stills
  • Thanks for that! Timer release cable.... I wondered if you had it plugged into a laptop on your back, as a intervalometer. =)
  • chad cheverier 1 year ago
it was a intervalometer, canon tc 80n3 to be exact, the laptop came in post production.
