There might be legitimate reasons for war, but since our republic's Supreme Law stipulates how we are to become involved--and that Law has not been followed--it is not surprising that the soldier does not understand why he is where he is. Unfortunately, the change that we have gotten with this last election only appears to involve something as significant as changing the curtains, or possibly re-arranging the furniture. As you see, we are to shift the war to Afghanistan, and there is no mention of bringing soldiers back from Germany, Japan, Korea, and 127 other countries. Real change that I could believe in would involve getting rid of the Federal Reserve, establishing a sound currency, ending illegal wars, abolishing the income tax and the IRS, and making the loans for deficit spending payable by the generation that votes them in. No more taxation without representation. Hey, and make it retroactive, too. I wasn't around when the income tax was voted in. Not for the social security tax either. So let me choose if I want to pay these things. My parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents allowed them to be voted in. I didn't have a say in it, I wasn't represented, so I shouldn't have to pay for it. And our kids shouldn't have to pay for the nonsense of today. Let's get back to life, liberty, and property (the pursuit of happiness). No one deserves my stuff ($) more than I do. I earned it.
