I visited the New York Aquarium today and shot all this footage. It took me a while to edit and when the final product came out, I realized that I need a better editing program besides Roxio Media Creator 10. Any recommendations would be awesome.

Trust me, I'm much better than this--but it was my first time filming underwater life. As you can tell, I'm not happy with it.

Filmed with a Canon HV20, vivid color and 30 fps.

it's not bad- did you use cinemode? i recommend FCP unless you're going to do lots of motion stuff. Oh wait r u PC if yes I see a lot of impressive stuff cut on the Vegas I think the color correction is pretty good on that.

No cinemode, shutter priority at 30 fps. I'm PC. I'll look into Vegas.

I think it looks good - Aquarium shots. The only way to get better shots would be an underwater housing for your HV20 then jump in and swim with the fish.... not sure the Aquarium people would be very happy with you :-) If you are PC based look into avid.com for editing software, I use Media Composer. IF you are a student they offer BIG discounts.
