Jakob Lodwick's videos (360)
Channels / Albums
An excerpt from Seth Herzog's show Sweet a couple weeks ago, featuring my new roommate (as of June 1st), Mr. Reggie Watts!

btw - I shot this with Seth's Polaroid camera, which, for some reasons, *does not record sound when you are zooming*. I did not know this at the time.

CAMEO AT THE END: David Wain

Wow, that camera's weak for being so lame.

sweet stuff from Reggie as usual, and hilarious

I love how much you are enjoying the show, too -- it really adds to the fun.

That's a funny bonus of holding the audio-recording device in your hand, a treat that is lost at most "professional" tapings!

I'm so jealous. When you live together and Reggie says good night to you, I bet it's all in beatbox.

    Are you staying in Manhattan?
  • Jakob Lodwick 1 year ago
    Nope; Brooklyn Heights.

    Are you kidding?

I have no desire to go to a live performance, other than to see Reggie and his magical music machine. Seriously.

He should wear a technicolor dream coat!

It's true, you do - videos don't really do it justice.

Yeah, because the other half of Reggie's act is this totally gonzo stream-of-consciousness ramble that really plays tricks on your brain.

    the harmony was great

and the last frame - who uses a laptop at a live gig LOL
Hey, I'm in a cool music performance, I though i would email you on WiFi lol

That or it's to do with the production of the show
  • Jakob Lodwick 1 year ago
The guy on the laptop was the co-host, using it to cue songs. But who knows, maybe he was emailing!

That's the worst camera "feature" ever.

I really like the harmonies. I've wanted to get some sort of looping pedal ever since seeing Owen Pallett perform.

Reggie Rocks! In my opinion, something that makes a great performer is when you can tell that they are really enjoying doing the performance and get really into it. Thanks for sharing this.

P.S. It's just a guess, but I think the camera doesn't record sound when you zoom, so that you don't hear the noise of the motor all the time. Either that or the motors take too much energy from the batteries and so the camera can't record audio. When my batteries run down, my camera still records video but not audio!
