My college friend Carrie came to visit NYC for her birthday and spent the day at the Natural History Museum, eating at some fine spots (Land Thai, Speedy's), making posters for her friends on a VH1 show, and visiting that New York institution, Duane Reade ("it's a happenin joint").

Then we went out to celebrate with a round of pints at Foley's, one of the oldest Irish pubs in the city, across the street from the Empire State Building. Happy Birthday Carrie!
