I, Boy TEASER
A teaser trailer for a film shot on a mini-dv for $7K CDN of my own money. Currently the project is on hold indefinitely, due to some technical issues. I now look at it as the best Film School I could've put myself through, since it led to my next short WHITE RED PANIC, which had none of those problems, and got a lot of attention and kudos to boot.

First time on this film actually.
I, Boy is in post now... will be a while still.
Much more of a narrative film. :)
What camera did u use!
It was shot on the dvx100B.
And thanks!
dang dude your good I have a hard time making my stuff look like this.
I did shoot in THIN detail mode, which squeezes a little more detail out of the dvx.
i watched the short. noticed a lot of the same camera movements. very cool style you're developing.
Somewhat reminescent of sneaker pimps - six underground being matched with "The Saint"
and thanks. :)
Question: how do u find shooting with the dvx100b...thinking of getting one in maybe a month.
so thanks. :)
and the dvx100b is great. The manual control makes it aces.
Btw, I'm selling my DVX100B at the moment if you're interested. Depending on where you're located I suppose.

again...very nice work.
I don't use Magic Bullet, or any other plugin type preset.
This is a gnarly teaser. The shot at the very beginning with your brother's face being lit by the headlights, I like it a lot.
What was your lighting set up for that shot?
Trey
this experience directly led to my White Red Panic short.
if you dont mind my askin :)
great stuff btw! love your work.
and lets just say the acting across the board was either good or meh depending on the scene. Which again, my fault since I didn't give it enough attention.
I'm still quite proud of some of the visuals and the atmosphere, as well as the story-telling. But over all I wanna put my best foot forward, so i moved on to a better short.
Anyway, I tried to remedy all that in "White Red Panic" and was much more pleased, as it seemed was everyone involved. You live you learn. ;)
Again, Great work. I hope to see more of your films very soon.
Whatever it is, I'm never happy the second time around. ;) Better to focus that energy into something new.
But never say never i guess...
