Hand-drawn/painted animated video created by Raymond Prado for Singer-Songwriter Matthew Bryan. Made in Vermont with ties to Austin and Los Angeles. Lots of hand-drawn frames. Like 6000. Check out matthewbryanmusic.com/ and raymondprado.blogspot.com/ for things!

Dude, you rock.. love it.
----(Doh!... NOW he tells me... :-)
Of course you may have to sync the music a bit differently to the frames... or, simply convert the music (and reference film) to a 24 fps render... hard to say which would work better.
In fact, you probably could have gotten away with 22 frames per second (i.e., about 2400 indiv. drawn frames)... actually, a lot of cartoons use as few as 15 fps... lot depends upon how much strobing you want to appear relative to the music, how much work you want to do or how much time you have. In your case you did a LOT of work and had lots of time.... and, as a result... it looks very good (even in slow motion... which is extremely rare in hand drawn animations).
It's been a long time since the heady days of Ghostriders In the Sky! Saw this on Motionographer - just an amazing piece of work! All the best and hope you've been well.

This is far and away better than the vast majority of animation that I see. I was just now getting depressed watching Saturday morning cartoons of dismal quality, and this completely made my day. You have an incredible career ahead of you; please continue to animate. Lots of people can storyboard, but only one in a million can do this.
PS Nathan Sage, I agree this is a great video but don't dismiss all the Saturday cartoons, Spongebob & Fosters Home are beautifully animated cartoons with great stories too. It's certainly not the awful action-figure -retail animation of the 80's!
It is fascinating work, really.
It is a step back to the real art of animation.
animation is concentration!
This is great!!
Nice song as well!
fantastic. I can't imagine how long this took.
respect.
I really like the fluidity of your motion and how you're always concentrating on 2 or 3 major changes at a time.
I hope to see more of your animations!
