Once a year in July, Salt Water Cowboys round up the Chincoteague Ponies for auction on Pony Penning Day. During a day trip to Assateague Island I noticed gawkers lining up along the side of the road. I quickly took out my camera and was lucky enough to stumble upon a roundup in progress.
