This is a story about a bus stop and a bench.
Whitestone Motion Pictures joined forces with Gift Card Giver and Matchstic and picked a tiny run down spot in East Atlanta and transformed it into the most beautiful spot in the city.
Join us as we celebrate the people who use mass transportation and take 'just talking' about change into 'doing'.

I find it hard to believe that a single bench is responsible for a surge in drug dealer activity. If there were drug dealers in the neighborhood, they were there before the bench was built and would continue to exist if the bench was removed. Drug dealers happen to use parking garages, public restrooms and city parks as well--should we begin systematically eliminating those?
Waiting for a bus on Glenwood Ave. usually takes upwards of 20 minutes--and even longer on the weekends. When you've had a long day, sitting down becomes goal #1. This may be hard to get your head around if you're not a regular MARTA user, but trust me.
Yes, the trash can and flower pots became more problematic than probably anticipated and have taken some figuring out--but surely you can appreciate that most things in life require a learning process, and maybe in light of that you could cut the bench some slack.
