The Danish Agricultural Museum
The Danish Agricultural Museum is the Danish state and national museum for agricultural, and the industries associated with agriculture. It is the only state museum in Denmark outside the Copenhagen area. The buildings extend over approximately 24,000 square metres, including 8,000 square metres of exhibition space. The museum currently owns 66 hectares of farming land. The latest extensions include the Centre for Living Cultural Heritage, which was formally inaugurated in autumn 2002.Volunteers from different guilds demonstrate their specialist skills at numerous events during the year. This gives you an opportunity to see how farm work was once carried out, right on the museum's fields, where old farm implements and machinery are still put to use.
