Found this dragonfly stuck in the seaweed on an incoming tide at Oyster Bay. From the look of his wings, he'd been immersed in the salt water, and had probably crawled up on the seaweed to dry out. As the seaweed dried, it trapped him by one leg. He could lift off a bit, but couldn't get airboure. Found a little gull feather, and slipped the end under him to free his foot. He sat for a while to get his strength back, then wobbled into the air and away. What he needs now is a good rain.
