A baby Minkie whale swam into the Gowanus Canal. Like Ahab, I tried to find her, but found instead a beautifully battered landscape; populated by people doing interesting jobs.

Beautiful video, we should all leave our private residences in search of minkie whales, taking our camera along. Really amazing video, and great ending. Searching for a whale, and end with the capture and death of a mouse.

Had to search to see what a minkie whale looked like:

thanks for kind words.. I get a "not found" on the minkie tip. I should google some vids of the actual whale... who will live in our vidhearts, if not in our seas and canals, etc.

The Sojourn ,, sets out from home in search of the lost mythical minke whale,,,

Love how you incorporate the locals in the sightings/story.

,,,yeah those glue traps are gross since the little mice scream for a spell before starving or dying of whatever.

This was really cool. The imagery and the different guys talking about the whale was really interesting. Good job.

In a sad note, the news reports that the little whale beached itself and died lastnight. Somehow in trying to move it, the whale sank to the bottom of the shipping channel. Having no luck seeing it, I'd convinced myself it had escaped harm, rather it had escaped this mortal coil.

Great great and great again. So we get a mouse instead of a whale - that's mammals for you!

I like it. The industrial stuff is excellent. Juxtaposed with the water, and the story, really cool.
