Limited in terms of talent,, (but who can afford Sigourney Weaver!!), but this was a concept and script of award winning proportions in my estimation. I especially liked the 'homage' to Dawn of the Dead with the rising 'husband'.

Truly remarkable piece of work that deserves a wider audience. Bravo.

I appreciate it, Jesse. I wish you guys could have come down... when will you be making your zombie film?
  • Jesse Knight 1 year ago
I won't be making it, but I think Blake and Micah will be doing it at some point. I'm busy finishing my first feature "F-3" (almost finished with the edit/shot with a DVX100) and my second feature, "Knowhere," (shot on 16mm) is about 70% shot. Thinking about shooting a third one this summer in HD. Are you working on anything else?

Oh my goodnes. That was just...amazing. This almost looks like a real film. What camera did you use and what equipment did you use?

I appreciate that, Paul... I own a JVC GYHD110 camera, light with CosmoBeam 2ks and Lowell 1k DPs, and have Sennheiseiser wireless UHF sound gear (though, I only used production sound for 1 shot, everything else was Foley and ADR). I work in post with Adobe CS3 software (some may be surprised by this, however, I find the suite superior to FCP), and I have a custom edit system designed around the Matrox RTx2.

Great flick Robert. As I was sucked into to the story, I couldn't help but think, man, imagine if it was all in her head. But you had great timing for when to introduce that, and for allowing the story to play out without intercutting with the 'real world' it allowed me to stay within it and begin to believe the world she was in was real. Just an awesome flick all around!

Wow! Amazing movie. When the bullets hit the zombies it looked fantastic! Did you use pumps and tubes?
  • Robert W. Filion plus 2 months ago
Thank you, Gabe. Yes, we used a paint pump and tubing for the hits.
