I wonder if many people declined to talk to you on the phone? I bet it was really hard to track these people down?
  • JoshFlowers 1 year ago
I was quite surprised that no one declined to talk to me. I did have people try to pass me off to another family member. One of these I still got a quote from which is why the second one about crochet purses sounds a bit rushed. I also had a lot of help from my mother tracking phone numbers down. Still though this took more work than about any short I've done so far.

Its a great idea, very well put together - told a great story in such a short space of time so many emotions and feelings in the clip. Good job.

Great idea to create this. I really like the use of dialing before the conversation, too. Gives it an even more relatable effect.
  • JoshFlowers 1 year ago
Yeah, I tried a few different thing and just starting with the voices on the graves just didn't work. I used the phone and cheaper camera to show like hey anyone can do this and hopefully they will.

Josh, thanks for this amazing video! I was wondering if you sent the video to any of the family members
  • JoshFlowers 1 year ago
Just a couple of them have seen it so far. I'm actually kind of nervous about showing it to them. Like they won't like how little I used of them talking about each person and they might be angry. So yeah basically I'm dropping the ball.
