My prep for my Art exam.
My preparation for my art exam 'Boundaries', a little directors commentary which i hope you will understand.
I've decided to film both, what the director wants to be shot (in a music video) and the real time movements that happen off camera to express how some music artists do not have a say in how they are being presented. They are being portrayed, generally, as a stereotype therefore causing a boundary for creativity. A music artist such as Bjork is more independent and does have a say in what is being represented however she can only appeal to a niche audience. I have decided to play untypical instruments to relate to a niche audience like Bjork. I have also decided to choose shots that are stereotypical of a video and that make the set up look confined in this garden.
