Default setups of Gnome (the desktop environment that is default in ubuntu) always has two bar (top for menu, progs, systray and clock; bottom for show desktop, window lists, workspace switcher and wastebin), so unless u've never used linux/ubuntu or u're using kubuntu or another distro which use KDE instead of gnome, which normally has one bar at bottom like windows, albiet thicker, u should already know
