this is legit guys, keep it up. this is better than almost any series on tv, im hooked! (this definatly deserves an add as well, the hd channel hasnt had much plot based things in a while).
  • Mark Kammel plus 1 year ago
well this was posted in the "shoutbox" on the HD page, and its very well made and will surely get alot of exposure, a dev will come across it and add it if he or she decides that its the best of the HD footage on vimeo.com, they will add it.

    "stop the goddamn car!"
    *smash*
    *cups thrown on ground*

    "fuck!"
  • Waldom Pictures plus 1 year ago
Haha, the cups flying out of the bag was unplanned. He was just supposed to throw the cup bag but it burst open and cups went everywhere.

The entire crew burst out laughing. You can see the camera shake there as I had a hard time keeping myself steady. That actor is a hilarious guy so it was just a perfect moment.

Very well done. One of the few videos on vimeo longer than 5 minutes that I have watched all the way through.

I very much liked the sound and coloring the most.
  • Waldom Pictures plus 1 year ago
    Thank you Mr. Lew

Great audio quality. The ambient sounds, the crisp voices of the actors and the mood music. Everything worked well together and was at a good level.
  • Waldom Pictures plus 1 year ago
Thanks Bill and congrats on getting Bill as a user name. You must have been here since the beginning.

I loved the part where they rang the doorbell and ran, hahaha. Excellent acting. I will watch to the end of the series :)
  • Waldom Pictures plus 1 year ago
Glad you liked that. It got a lot of laughs at the New York Television Fest. My advice is try it with your friends. Except take it further. Put them in a dress and poor gasoline on them. Then light them on fire. That's when you should ring the doorbell. So not only will they get burned alive, their parents will be kicking them to put the fire out. That's what I did last night. It was a riot.

The dress is just for added affect.
  •
  • Chrizzle 1 year ago
Holy crap. That made me laugh hard, pure genius. For our third video of our "sequels" we could try that, obviously not a real person. Stick some wood in some clothes and set it alight, of course having water around to put out the fire if it gets out of control. If it's alright with you, could we try it? :D
  • Waldom Pictures plus 1 year ago
I lit myself on fire making this project so as you can imagine I have no problems playing with fire. I had no hair on my legs for a month and my eyebrows were slightly clumpy for a while until the melted hair hath shed.

It would make a good short film though. Pranksters that take things a bit too far.

I know of a few girls who are constantly complaining about shaving, I could give them that tip. Obviously, they won't take it seriously. Then again, what if they're so angered by shaving/waxing that they do it? Haha, that would be crazy.

Well, we're going to the forest for one video next week I think. Will definitely try it out, if it's a success I'll report back, if it was failure, I'll keep quiet. Hahaha.

Very well done, but I don't understand spoken english enough to enjoy it really! the realisation is very PRO!

  • That was an excellent production and really intriguing story. I wanna see the rest of it... sob, sob. Hope good comes of it.
  •
  • Dropping the drunks on the house, ringing the doorbell and running off cracked me up. I love how you started off with comedy and then slowly made your way into the suspense. It definitely had the noir feel. Totally awesome.
  • Waldom Pictures plus 1 year ago
    Thanks Nathan. Really appreciate it.
  • Yeah, I know I always feel really good about myself when someone actually notices the noir. I realize in the scene I've uploaded thus far, it holds back on the noir but the movie itself is noir (or at least attempting to be). I tend to think noir is less about mimicking the style and more about capturing the original passion/feel that went into noir. I say that, because at the time the classic noir movies were being filmed, the filmmakers had no idea they were creating some new style but were just pushing the boundaries of censorship and breaking "the norm." I think that's really what it's about, but obviously the techniques are important as well (i.e., lighting).
