    Hassidic Jewish... funny to me however, that the Amish and the Hassidum and the Mennonites all seem to want to stop history at about the same time... more or less the late eighteen hundreds.

    Weird... why not the seventeen hundreds, or 1955?

    This fear of progress always struck me as fairly random and romantic.

    Sounds better than horses and buggies and wide brimmed hats... but I do like hats and in the fifties it was still the Fedora that ruled...
