In the Greater Outdoors, having sight is not as important as having vision.

Meet Rachael Scdoris, Pioneer of Mushing. The Iditarod Dog Sled Race is 1161 miles of brutality. Participants face blizzards, sub-zero temperatures, and unpredictable terrain. Rachael Scdoris faces one more obstacle: shes legally blind. And while she doesnt see the finish clearly, shes crossed it. And will again. For her grit and unwavering smile we are very proud to call Rachael a Pioneer of the Greater Outdoors and award her the Gert Boyle Medal of Merit (M.O.M.). Learn more about Rachael, her sport, and her gear at columbia.com columbia.com.

Rachael counts on the tested reliability and comfort of many Columbia products, including the functional and fashionable Bling Bling jacket with waterproof, breathable Omni-Tech fabric. Were happy to be along for the ride.
