In August, artist Bob Wysocki shaped 100,000lbs of sand into a dune inside Flight 19, an alternative contemporary art exhibition space in Tampa, Florida. The installation, titled Post-Metal, coincided with the University of South Florida Contemporary Art exhibition Mash-Up, devoted to art influenced by popular music and destruction as a creative force. Join Artsqueeze's Megan Voeller in conversation with Wysocki about Post-Metal, which remains on view in Tampa through November 8. For more information, go to artsqueeze.com.

Great work. I was fortunate enough to see a sand dune that Wysocki displayed in Los Angeles a while back. Crouching down, and standing at different elevations (upstairs) in the gallery, helped the 'lines' of the dune to really stand out. For years now, I've been contemplating what it means to have a sculpture transform in time. A very beautiful and thought provoking piece indeed.
