Those are unbelievably cool and definitely you. Think how neat it will be someday for your grandkids to find Grandpa’s old glasses. They already have allot of character, wait till they age.
NOW you really do look like a professor!,, for real, Those are cool frames and a great story.
That is super sweet hardwood. I had a job where i made custom pulls out of it (Cocobolo, you might see some cool detail in the grain under ultraviolet light btw.) I love the nose bridge detail being built into the frame.
Scott is a great artisian.
Could happen in the cocobolo we had some minerals in the wood that flowed through it's grain and glowed in unexpected blissed out colors small bits but part of the exoticness of exotic hardwoods,, and yeah black lights, I should said black lights.
Like your wood we had both dark darks and golden hues with iredescent golden theads in the grain with small glowing particulate that would glow. Some woods really"sparkle" under UV light.
What a fantastic website. He is an amazing artisan. His ability to bring a vision/dream into being for others is so cool. Your glasses are so you! After all these years of wearing glasses how great is it to finally love the glasses you have to wear : )
if you email him he can give you a broad range, however if you have an idea of what you'd want he'd be able to give you a better idea. He gave me an average.
That last statement "check out the glasses" was very kevin wade. Pretty great clip overall. I also wanted you to have them in time for the wedding. I think they really suit you so well! Your whole outfit was awesome at the wedding.
great backstory/explanation of your totally unique and awesome glasses...loved the Sartre comment.
