I love this kind of video. Kind of like a revert back to the Vimeo of 2005 or so.

It's just the reason that Vimeo is unlike anything else...these kinds of videos are what I think Vimeo is really about.

Owning an island would be great. There is something intriguing about the thought of "owning an island." You should buy one. Then when you introduce yourself to people you can say, "Hi, I'm Zach Klein, I own an island."

I was looking at real estate for sale on eBay a few days ago, and saw an island off the coast of Maine. It wasn't THAT expensive, and already had a house built on it. The thought of moving there and living in nature(-ish) is a terribly cool idea. If you buy the same island I was fantasizing about, I will be pretty jealous.

Up near Lubec eh? where the sun first shines each morning. The swells were rolling this weekend.
The guy I do copper w/ is raving about that book right now in light of the Wolfowitz Worldbank and the history of the world bank the revelations are somewhat disconcerting.

There are so many freaking islands on the Maine coast many uninhabited others with some VERY colorful people on them. Then of course there's the freighting of all that you need out to the island people sure do it up here in Vacationland.

I promise, if you dedicated efforts towards fund raising and campaigning to create a VIMEO COMMUNITY -- it'd happen. I'd give loads. Just ask us Zach, we'll do it

Hey Zach, saw that ebay listing too--several others in fact, as well. My wife loves Maine and constantly looks for any reason to move there. We particularly love the southern portion around The Yorks and Kennebunkport. Just thought I'd pass that along...:)

Used to live in Maine. Machias, as you now know, is WAY up there. Of course, a private island up there would be the perfect escape from NYC.

    Yeah! Maine!

wow, you really went all the way to the edge of Downeast, guy.

finding a balance between nature and the quality of life found off the beaten path - vs the excitement and opportunity found in the city has been a recurring theme in many conversations lately....

I've been listenig to a lot of netcasts at work on my ear phones at work, too.

It would be nice to have an island to get away to every now and then :-)

I don't take vacations like that very much either! (The kind where you go look at an island you're thinking about buying.) :)

What did you use to keep your camera perfectly still?
and owning an Island would be sweet. You could break away from the United States and call it Kleinland. That sounds like a creepy carnival, Kleinland. Maybe you could buy the Island, start Kelinland and have creepy circus-sideshow-carnivals. That would be pretty sweet.
