I'd be really worried about taking that D200 out on the water like that. Especially as choppy as it was.

no risk no gain. I learned that lesson the hard way when i checked out of taking my new d70 to a 3 day music festival and using film disposable - not a single good photo came out and i now have little personal evidence. If you want the shot you need to have the camera. Sorry for sounding preachy, i'm still bitter about that music festival
