5 vinyettes (vignettes)
1: car going by as I rest on a bike ride
2: RJD2 concert
3: Hasidic Jews playing softball
4: My friend Nancy in a front-end loader
5: Random woman at curves on 14th street
this is a good way to show snippets of clips you never use.
hmmm. maybe I'll start a project...
... okay I started a project. Lets see what you guys have lying around in the old hard drive...

...not.
I gotta be completely honest with you ive always known a vignette as the soft edges around the lens, from a lens hood, filters.
Vignette (literature), short, impressionistic scenes that focus on one moment or give a particular insight into a character, idea, or setting
BTW is there a channel for this project?

i agree that using unrelated clips is better, for me it kind of adds to the feeling that you're being shown a bit of everyone's world through their vignettes.
and i'm sure there's a good explanation for why you were filming those women working out from across the street.
Somthing melancholy feeling in that shots.
That's unique one!
