    So I'm guessing, but by the pulsing of the light it looks like you are shooting about 60 times normal speed?

    Why does it go dark for a little and then flare up? Wouldn't it flare up right away? Or is it cooled from the gun shot?

    Probably because the oxigen hasn't filled the area surrounding the filament until the moment it overheats.

    beautiful!!! I would love to hear the sounds, as well. Maybe this camera doesn't record them... but even a normal-speed sound recording slowed down in Final Cut would be cool.

    Hi. Great stuff. How did you record this? Did you have a VTR hooked up to the camera or did you download it from the camera cache? I have the Phantom v10 (used for sport and recorded onto EVS back at the OB truck) and am trying to work out the best way to record in the field.
