Too good ! Just by curiosity, how much cost this camera you're using ? How many thausends ?
  • aasdfasdfasdfasdf 1 year ago
It is a Phantom HD and I am not sure what my company paid for it but the package it came in with several componants cost somewhere around the upwards of 25,000. And the sad thing is I believe we bought it used.

Robbie this is awesome as is the light bulb clip, I was wondering what is the frame rate you shoot at so that you can slow it down and maintain such
    great clarity and definition?

    wow!!!
at first I didn't know why you have red dots on the balls. Then I realized it's to help us see how the ball was spinning!!
    great video!!
  • Lex Productions 1 year ago
Yeah, did you put something in the red dots to make them show up in the infared?

There are two types of videos I can never get tired of: Slow-Motion Video of objects breaking or showing physics AND shots of men being hit in the crotch with objects. Golf balls can be used in both of these cases.

WHAT IF... no. I won't say it. A clip like that would become bigger than the internet itself.

I mean, imagine if Dramatic Chipmunk would have been in ultra-slo-mo...

It's really neat how the cue ball leaves a trail in the infrared shots.

Nice! Do you have a precision pool robot arm or are you just making a lot of shots and picking the nice ones?

Amazing how the heat from the cue impact stays on the ball for quite some time.

By the way, may I suggest as music, the theme tune to the British, snooker based game show called "Big Break" - youtube.com/watch?v=Wv7qY1TVnAY

very nice, I would love to shoot some stuff with that camera but the $2500.00 per day would kill most of my budgets
