Made for CROOKED Philip Bloom film competition 2
Oil Painter Walter Brems (www.walterbrems.be) working on a background for a new painting.
First out, I took some detail shots in the 'atelier' to progress to the actual making of the background 'fonds'.
About the music... well... I used it I guess ;) I've cut it up in cubase and used some parts, add some beat, pad and a funny synthsound on my roland juno-D ;)
Tech: Shot on canon xh-a1 with letus extreme and canon FD lenses (28mm f2.8, 50mm f1.4, 135mm f2.8, 70-210mm f3.5)

see comments below ;)
Witch preset you used ?
xha1 factory settings - no preset was used. Colorcorection was done in AE.
Thanks from neo ;) He really is keen to be on screen all the time.
About canon and letus and lenses.
xha1 => great choice you wont regret.
fcp => my mac pro with 30" cinema screen and macbook pro are ordered and wil soon arrive ;) so soon I will use that too ;)
canon or nikon => Well, if you have done photography and have a bunch of lenses arround of one particular brand, go for that brand! Nikon tends to be a little more expencive on ebay for same quality glass.
Prime or Zoom: You need primes, not because its not a zoom, but because they mostly are faster then zoom lenses. But the video called 'brossé interview' is shot on a zoom lens (24-70 L f2.8 - expencive!!) My holiday siena italy video was mainly shot on a $50 50mm f1.4 because I did it all handheld and a big zoom on my xha1 lensthread was not an option to run arround with for 10 days straight.
I could prefer this: When you will shoot mainly outside in good light conditions, go for a zoom below f4.0 or so (not higher because of grain issues) When mainly shooting in bad light conditions, use fastest lens you can buy (mainly a prime - say 50mm f1.8 or faster)
There is no special achromat needed when using a letus extreme. Just correct lensthread adapter when you order.
Greets,
ps. If you have other questions, just shoot, ill be happy to reply, np.
which is better for the money?
Also what exactly do I need/need to know when ordering this adaptor?
Also they keep mentioning something about flip for the adaptors and I have no clue.
I would also like to know what lens (for average work all around) to start with if I wanted to do everything?
Btw I read somewhere that you cant zoom in with your camera while the adaptor is on...?
SORRY for all the questions but I'm good with a camera and I'm dying to know about this set up.

THANK YOU!
photography & camerawork with a lot of respect
editing also
nice
You have inspired me to video her doing her work. I think it is the ultimate flattery for her to have the artist be interpreted by the wannabe artist :)
Thank you
