The main narrative for the video comes from a wicked 1980 PBS sci-fi movie called "Lathe of Heaven". It was filmed in and around my hometown, Dallas. Excellent flick. Check it out imdb.com/title/tt0081036/

The rest is from Brainstorm, Millennium, Natl Geographic, and Scanimate. Anyone interested in early CGI and retro ad-bumpers should seek out the Scanimate DVD. The Scanimate machine produced some of my favorite images from the 70s and 80s. Check out the website for more info scanimate.zfx.com/

and heres a lovely sample of the Scanimate at work youtube.com/watch?v=5cMsa44BnPw

I also highly recommend watching Ron Hays Scanimate work. There are several mind blowing videos on youtube. Perfect for 20JFG readers.

    enjoy
