Sena, you are ridiculous...Did you do your research on this one??? There is no guarantee about what any teacher COULD teach your children, and do you think gay parents should be offended that they read many books about straight marriage in class also? get a grip and look at the video again to figure out what the similarities are.

Bravo! Many Gay People have fought for other people's freedom:
Bayard Rustin, Barbara Jordan, Cheryl Orvis (US Comm on Civil Rights) and Andrew Goodman. I am sure I have forgotten or don't know a lot of others. Oh Yes, Eleanor Roosevelt was Bisexual. She was an amazing person.

We all breathe, we all bleed, we all die...black, white, gay, straight and everything in between...we are all the same and we are all different, but we should ALL be treated equal. It should make no difference what religion we do or do not believe, it should make no difference the color of our skin, nor whom we fall in love with. The Universe, God, Goddess, whomever you choose to believe in only knows spirit...do you love or do you hate...

Who are you to pass judgment on the Divine Plan that keeps this world spinning? We are mere humans...none of us flawless. Prop 8 was passed by judgmental bigots, who used the media to lie to promote hatred and inequality. Prop 8 had nothing to do with teaching our children about gay marriage and everything to do with taking away rights. They lied and they won...what kind of message are we sending our children?

    Sena,
It seems you have bought into the lies and false propaganda that was spread about Proposition 8...or Prop Hate...which is unfortunate and a blatant disregard for your fellow human beings and the rights of the homosexual community, that which you claim to "love"...from my perspective it seems you care more about teaching your children intolerance, as they learn from example. Schools do not teach about marriage, straight or gay. And I agree that they should not be teaching about morals either...Morals are created by and define society, philosophy, religion, or individual conscience...Just because one lives by a different philosophy, does not make them void of morals, it just means their morals are different than yours. But I also believe that school is for more than ABC, 123...it is a place where we can learn to function in the world around us, it is where we can learn to be accepting of those different than us...and sometimes it is where we first learn to practice tolerance outside of that which is or is not taught in our homes...Discrimination is discrimination...blacks were murdered for the color of their skin and gays have been murdered for who they love...why do you choose not see the similarities? What the blacks and the gays fight for is the same...EQUALITY! RIGHTS! and FREEDOM!

There is NO GUARANTEE in life, except that life ends at some point. If you are truly using that as your excuse to justify hateful behavior than I believe you base your decisions in fear...peace starts inside the heart and I hope one day you will open yours to include all of your brothers and sister...

When will the world wake up???...what happens to one affects us all. My husband and I will continue to teach our son to stand up for what is right, fair, and equal for EVERYONE.

No effort to end discrimination against anyone will be too much effort! I will not be "tolerated"! I will not have my rights abridged by anyone for any reason especially religion. I am a law abiding, tax paying citizen of the United States of America who should enjoy the same rights afforded to all other citizen's with NO exception. My state is discriminating against me and I will work with those in America who believe that this is WRONG and we shall overcome!

Great video, music, and message! GLBT in USA must not take freedom for granted. Please find the time to learn about GLBT oppression of our brothers and sisters in other countries too (Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, etc). I was inside the Stonewall Inn in NYC that night in 1969 and have been an equality activist ever since. BUT nothing prepared me for what I have learned about GLBT oppression than seeing the Remi Lange film "Road to Love" and watching the interviews of Algerian gay men. There it is ok for family members to perform "honor killings" of GLBT family members who just comes out. Rent that film sometime on NETFLIX and watch the interview extras too. My internet conversations with friends in other countries are hoping that OBAMA and the USA can once again be a leader in human rights for everyone, everywhere. Thank you Refuse to Hate for a well do video. I will send yhour link to all my straight friends for starters...
