Reyer: It is...in fact, you can print out the tracking symbol and do it yourself (this is how I found the Vimeo page). Check out:

This was implemented on the handheld Gizmondo (I think) a few years back. I believe a whole RTS was developed using this technology. All you did was print out the image, and you created a whole city on your desk. Pretty cool stuff!

I recorded the video using Flash CS3 (export movie - Quicktime).

It was tough as I couldn't see what was going on as I recorded, and had to wait until the video finished encoding to see the results...

I'm sure there is screen recording software out there, but most I've seen run at pretty poor framerates when capturing flash in a browser...

Excellent work! Did you create the animated character in Flash (swf) or was it from another source?

(BTW, I use iShowU for screen capture, up to 40fps on decent hardware)

The animated character was created by our team of talented 3D artists, using 3D modeling/animation software and exported to a format we could read in flash.

Hi, I learned how to use augmented reality in flash and know i can create simple shapes (using flash) to display on the marker but let say i created some pictures in photoshop and some animation in flash and i would like to use it instead of these shapes. How can i achieve this task of linking my custom shapes
