Eos5DmkII with Nikon Manual lens aperture control test
11 months ago
A quick test to demonstrate how a adapted Nikon 17-35 f2.8 AFS lens used in full manual can offer full aperture control on a Canon Eos5DmkII after an AE lock.
Apologies for the wobble, today is very windy and they don't like tripods too much where I was shooting.
You can also hear that on the onboard audio, an separate mic is certainly needed to eliminate lens aperture noises.

Have just been veiwing your work on the Guardian website. Love both your stills and video work, especially the 5d video 'one night in Beijin'.
You seem to use shift and tilt/perspective control lenses often, I love the 100m final shot at the Olympics. I'm assuming you were shooting on the D3 in Beijing so are these lenses Nikon's own PC lenses or some other make? Or am I completely wrong?

Anybody would not be able to separate it from our nations.
China wants to erase Tibetans of the globe & take small little piece of earth. that's all.
One question - how are you mounting the Nikon lenses on the 5D2 ?
What are you using to adapt them ?
Cheers for any info.

A point of interest, with video capture limiting focus to manual only, how easy (or difficult or impossible) is it to hold focus on a moving target, Advancing, Receding & Traversing ?
I appreciate your input, comments & video.
Cheers. Ron.
