I really like Sara Bareilles, and this is her hopefully soon-to-be-famous single. It's not exactly how she plays it, but it's close enough. I saw her live at RIT in May; Derek and I were right in front and we threw a note to her on stage complimenting her on her lovely songs, cuteness, and lipgloss. This sparked a massive flurry of notes for her, all thrown on stage in crumpled balls for her to flit around and pick up during her whole set. She liked ours best though. :D

Didn't your mother ever tell you that you need at least two external microphones for a live recording?

    Jeeze.

    Anyway, nice job.

I was going to make the same comment about the miking so your voice could be recorded at or near the same level as the piano. Great job. Great to hear you singing. :o)

I went on hypemachine to hear the real deal - yours is delightfully close!

you know what it reminds me of? a sitcom theme song. I mean that in the most charming way possible.

her voice IS fiona apple's voice. amazing.

I play it faster that she does. I'm not really a fan of her super poppy studio version of the song, but you yeah it is sitcom-y.

    thanks!

i agree your performance is really close to the original.

I am not sure about the sitcom theme soound. but i could def hear this on scrubs.

Wow, I love this song! I first heard of Sara when I was in NYC eating lunch with a friend who told me about her. I had a show at 169 Bar the same night she was playing Pianos. I tried to get over to Pianos after my set, but I missed her! She's a fabulous songwriter and performer. Really nice cover. Great job! ::hugs:: Candi

Ahhh yeah she is great. I think I might redo this, actually, now that I actually figured out how to play it right (and not so fast!) You should see her live, she's a total cutie.
    thanks!

ZOMG I love this song! I had no idea it wasn't so new, but it is always great to hear people play things before they hit mainstream. You did a gweat job! :D

Great. Now I get to hear this song every day on the radio at least eight times.

I hate when the radio ruins good songs.
