Telematic Drum Circle (Hacked)
I've been babysitting Byeong Sam Jeon's telematic drum circle telematicdrumcircle.net/ back here in Troy, NY while it's exhibited in Singapore at SIGGRAPH Asia 2008.
I got a little bored with re-aligning switches for the pneumatics and resetting various modules, so I dug through Byeong Sam's code. Since it was just 16 serial ports, each at 9600 baud receiving characters '1' through '9' for velocity, I wrote a Processing app to translate MIDI notes to control the drums.
So now I can control them with my Trigger Finger, or using sequenced rhythms in Live.

But good job anyway!
Question: does you app translates the MIDI on-the-fly? or offline? if it's done offline then maybe you can tweak the translation to avoid the miss-sync
Everything is done in real time/online here.
I'll see what I can do.
A grande vantagem é não ter que pagar cachê pra músico nenhum , fora a dor de cabeça que eles costumam provocar em tours.
Parabéns!
