    hey Haku, greetings from benzworld. Fun video, curious what settings did you did you use to get the size of the file to a decently small size? I just got a new vixia HF100 and the AVCHD files are huge. trying to find out how to make them smaller without loosing quality. Thanks for the help.

    Hey - good to hear from you!

    They call the 'Vixia' series "Ivis" here in Japan and from what I can see aside from the recording media (Flash vs HDD) the HF100 is almost identical to the HG21!

    I'm using Adobe Premiere CS4 to edit and Adobe Media Exporter for output.

    I actually had some trouble getting the files at a decent size - I eventually realised that what I was missing was dropping my default bitrate (which was about 15Mbps) to 4Mbps. I'm currently getting a 2minute HD video to about 90MB.
