While this played at the MFA show, I imagined you being disappointed by everyone laughing and enjoying it. I know you joked about this meaning it has "failed", but I feel like maybe the laughter means something different.

I'm reminded of an essay by Marvin Minsky, "Jokes and the Logic of the Cognitive Unconscious", where he argues that we laugh to release tension between our inner thoughts and our socially constructed "censors". That is, sometimes we laugh when something is true, but dangerously true.

If you believe this theory, I think it makes a lot sense that people laugh when watching this :)
