I was wondering about that too and I looked on wikipedia, and found out there are around 120 different sign languages around the world. I was very surprised because I thought it was an international language but it's not !

yeah, that's a common misconception--i get asked that all the time!

the alphabet in another country (england I think?) is really different, I think. a, e, i, o, and u are indicated with each of your five fingers. and I think most of the other letters are signed by pointing at different parts of your palm! other nation's sign language is always very different but for some reason is still strangely comprehensible most of the time.

I was surprised to find that even countries with the same vocal language can have different signs. Like America and Britain.

yeah! my friend taught me the british/australian alphabet...it's so weird. maybe i'll upload that next!
