97. John Dowland - Lachrimae pavan (P15) - Lute
10 months ago
The famous leit-motiv of the Lachrimae, used by Dowland in many pieces, for viol consort, lute and also the famous song "Flow my tears". Inspired by madrigals by Luca Marienzo. This is "one" from the many versions for solo lute, this one being in the "Folger" Shakespeare Library so called "Dowland lute book", folios 18v-19.
Lute made by Stephen Murphy.
