I drew each of those introductions by hand and then animated them by copying them into MSPaint and rubbing bits of the picture out at a time. I think there are about 150 pictures per introduction. For Dr.Piranha's and TheJoe1000's I inverted the colours at the begining, but both of them were actually drawn on paper! I would definitely recommend watching all Dr.P's stuff, it's great.

And yes - YOU ARE MY CONTACT! You should have received an email a while ago saying "Buck Flashroy has added you as a contact". Unless of course you have notifications turned off.

The long and tedius work you must have spent on this is admirable.

I remember that now, and plus, the new update doesn't let you see recent adds. With that nice caption about your contacts, I needed the reassurance.

I've been meaning to do this for ages, I've just been quite busy. It was fun to do though. I hadn't realised Dr.P had been chosen twice. I don't mind though, he's great so I think he should be chosen twice. Especially seeing as how long he has been a member of vimeo.

Thanks. That writing is my girly handwriting. For each of them I drew the whole thing on paper, took a photo, and then copied them into good ol' MSPaint. For Dr.P's and Joe's, I then inverted the colours. Then I rubbed a little bit out and saved it, and repeated that until it was all gone. Then copied the pictures into imovie and made a stopmotion with the pictures. There's about 150 for each introduction. The colour matching was a bit tricky (getting the right colour to rub out the different bits). You can see on Joe's I did it really badly, but by then I didn't care as much just because I had already done about 450. I think it looks ok though. Originally I was just going to draw it a bit at a time and take a photo after each bit, but I decided that would be tricky and could go wrong if I accidentally nudged the paper or the camera. I thought it might wear out my flash on my camera as well.

That's a wonderfully painstaking way to do animation. Love this clip.

Also, thanks to my years of mucking around on MSPaint, I can actually make everything pretty quickly now. I think it only took about an hour and a half per introduction. I love doing it though - it's really satisfying when you finish it and it all works out.
