i signed up on vimeo just to say how cool this vid is. i'd dabbled in video stuff and it's not easy copying a vid shot for shot but you guys nailed it (for the most part) - very entertaining and great job!!

They explain pretty well how you can deinterlace with imovie. I also saw that Final Cut has a filter called "de-interlaced"
Just for curiosity, I guess your camera shoots with interlacing, otherwise something is wrong in your editing software settings
