YES. I'm so down with podcasts like WNYC/NPR's RadioLab, and I have a David Lynch book on tape that I listen to over and over... I need to get some more!
ha, listen to motivational speakers via podcast. or you can do what i do - start speaking in accents to entertain yourself. driving for hours alone is always boring.
I live near cleveland, and go to school in Cincinnati, so I know that drive by heart. 71 can get real old real fast. I'm sure think the country is getting real old real fast though...
there are some really lovely russian podcasts out there, too
oh! and my favorite podcast (besides TAL) is npr's "wait wait...don't tell me!". i saw it taped live once and it was totally groovy and hilarious. the "news from lake wobegon" podcast is good, too, if you like a prairie home companion
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO don't I was kidding its not big nor is it clever, I would get video whacked by loyal yatch fans missing there energised pop exsplosion.... I couldn't do that ignore my stupidity, put it down to a sugar low.......nothing to see move along now, its all over folks, move along
OOH! Good call! I have this other idea too... MAKE ME A MIXTAPE OF YOUR CITY'S MUSIC! When I say "mixtape" I mean a ZIP file or a CD or whatever! Show me your local zones!
what like street sounds emphera and overheard conversations....i could snoop recording the passing and the sittings of stuff...I could get arrested and everything......
I have a pretty sweet story about a snowflake. I don't know how into the winter you are right now, but it's a nice one. I'll try and get some people together to make you some motivational tour driving music, straight up Portland style.
Thanks! They are my first ever pair of "real" sunglasses. I had very similar plastic ones lent to me by Bobby Birdman and I totally left them on a plane in Australia. Don't tell him.
well, i know that it is too late, but for the next time you have to drive a long time alone, what i usually do is pick someone to follow and then just follow them for a while, pretending that it is a high speed chase. or you could make a sign that reads "amazing race" and hold it up in your window when someone his passing you or you are passing someone else, and if they are really cool, it becomes an awesome game, if they aren't, then you can get the next person!
