2. Lost Dog Trailer v2
Updated trailer for LOST DOG, a novel of suspense by Bill Cameron, available from Midnight Ink Books.

I decided it was time for a tweak or two. Added an image and a blurb, and adjusted the timing.

Thanks, Loona! If you decide to bite the bullet and give my little lost pup a try, I'd love to hear what you think.

I recommend it. I picked it up from amazon.com when Duplo's Dad put up his first trailer. I must admit, I wasn't sure about the book in the beginning, because I didn't care for the characters; meaning I didn't like who they were. But as the action picked up so did the character development; and I developed a better understanding of them, and even was kind of rooting for them (especially the main charachter). My favorite character was the young lady that owned the coffee shop.

One question I would have for Duplo's Dad is why wasn't the sister and her family developed more. I know they had a minor role, and the book was through the main characters eyes, but just curious.

That's an interesting question, Ed. The short answer is that Abby's role in Peter's life is ultimately archetypical, and so that's how I portrayed her in the story.

That said, there were drafts in which she had a much larger, more fleshed-out presence. You got to see a bit inside her head, and get to know her and her husband more. But what that did was make for a longer novel without appreciably adding to the story, and in some ways distracted from the two main focus characters, so I trimmed her role back.

In the future, she may come back with more force. I haven't thought past my third novel much, except to know that I want to bring Peter back as the focus character in book four, but Abby and her family could easily have a larger role when I get to that story.

That's what I kind of thought, but I was wondering a little because of the end; which I don't want to ruin for anyone else.

I just finished reading "Lost Dog".
Highly recommended to all readers of mystery/thrillers!
I enjoyed it more than the latest from Kathy Reichs and/or Stephen King!
