When I'm trying to fall asleep I try to play a song over and over in my head and imagine it spreading out of my ears and until it's around my head instead of inside of it. It usually does the trick.

Getting shots of the inside of your eyelids is not easy

Its concentrating on the silence that sends me asleep, it being the last sense to be concious...I always imagine the sound receeding away to to silence....

Like the interpretation of the inside of eyelids...ace

Have you ever experienced when you're falling asleep, the point where you're hearing cuts out?

I think you have to be falling asleep really slowly, and then when you're just about asleep, you might notice that your hearing cuts out. The problem is that usually if you notice it, it is enough to surprise you into waking up again, and of course almost straight away you can hear again.

I used to think it was just me being weird, but my friends have told me that they have had this happen too.

    Have you?

    P.s. Really nice video.

Yeah.. I tried focusing on the moment I fall asleep for a few months. Got a lot of weird stuff out of it. When I realized I had fallen asleep, I seemed like I could choose to wake up or just give in and go into deeper sleep. But deeper sleep from there usually ended up with me semi-controlling my dreams.. which was fun, but not as spontaneous as random dreams, and so less... entertaining. Sleep is a weird thing.

Oh and after reading the comment on the video, I was very curious how the falling asleep/eyelid thing was going to be done. And i was not disappointed :)

The shot before the yellow fish really looks like falling asleep.

I remember thinking when I was very small that I wanted to see a movie that faithfully recreated having my eyes closed and watching pieces of my imagination. But I very unimaginatively thought, "No, that's impossible."
