Ted+Mya Highlights
While we normally don't show wedding highlights online as of late, we're sharing Ted + Mya's Highlights as their main feature was used to illustrate storytelling and editing principles that were taught @ our in house workshop.
It is a little nerve racking knowing that our workshop attendees will be studying this piece and dissecting it based on our rules. I await & welcome the backlash of feedback/constructive critique from you. Take it easy on us =)

Production Tidbits - shot with 3 Canon A1's (+ Brevis 35 in the morning) + 1 Ex1 on the steadicam. No additional lighting was used throughout the day.
For those undecided between Steadicam Pilot vs FlyerLe; all the Steadicam work you see here is shot with the Steadicam Pilot. This includes a few of the level 'fake slider' shots.
Both are pretty slick rigs and can produce really solid shots after a little bit of practise.

loved the "sky". good work man....as usual.
Your shots were clean and concise as always. The whip pans from scene to scene are always so fluid.
Welcome back. Great shots as usual but what really set this apart is your ability to time shift and still make it work, a true challenge for all of us. What I found interesting is you made the very most of a "typical location" that we all shoot and made it feel larger than life. I found myself drawn to the couple rather than focusing on the technical details. Content is still king.
Please, tell me if you can...How you capture the sound, so "clean"? Do you record it by yourself? or take it from the backstage of the weddings?
Thx!
Step1, I believe the sluggish performance is from Vimeo; we are still using the same 720P AppleTV preset encode as a source file.
ICVideo, I suggest taking the money saved via purchasing a Pilot & not a Flyer and get one of the new Pegasus Sliders; they are wayyyy cool.
James, you have a PM!
Rodrigo, the natural audio during the ceremony is captured via Sennheiser EW100 series wireless microphones with Irivers as backups. All wireless microphones are mounted on those who will be speaking. The non-ceremony portions of audio are captured via the onboard camera mic, and then refined via SoundTrack Pro.
Re: the shoe shot; this was achieved via an experiment using a portable green screen (green cloth material easily acquired from a craft store such as Michaels), and some rotoscoping of the green screen shoe layer masked on top of the time lapse.
Thanks for taking the time to watch + ask questions.

When I make some video-test using Senheiser I'll tell you!
Hector, I shot alongside Tony for this wedding and I also manned the Pilot. Konrad + Patrick were shooting another wedding, I definately could have used their help!
Matt, you never know perhaps the workshop will come to you in AUS sooner then later
