2nd effort with trapcode.com form.
I used the piece of music to drive the displacement of particles.

It is currently being shown in trapcode.com/gallery.html

this is amazing, how long did it take you to do this?

    4-5 hours. I made V001 & V002 over a weekend.

Nicely done. The music was excellent!! And the animation was seamless. I know it is a lot to ask but showing how you were so precise with the music + particle animation would be awesome!!

    Bravo!!!

The small vibrations were affected by the amplitude of the music. form lets you select a a range of frequencies and assign them to a deformer.
The more extreme movements I hand animated by manually ramping up form's dimensions and fractal strength in sync with the more dramatic musical bits.

very nice. looks very photographic. how did you get the nice little glowy parts? looks like light across a fiber optic wire. did you use a layer map?
  • Simon Bronson plus 7 months ago
The glowy parts are the lighter part of the movie that I used as a layer map, further emphasized with starglow.
This 'movie' contained a red object swaying back and forth, its slow repetition really helped to drive colours through the form strings.

The photographic quality comes from a shallow depth of field and judicious use of noise.

Thanks everyone for all your lovely comments.
