A 2,5D animation about a couple who fall in love and get married. This was later motiontracked in our movie, where the man (now old) opens an old photoalbum. You dive in the first picture and this animation begins.

This is a really cool idea, i'm sure theres loads of grandparents who would love their photo's to have them look this way. It reminded me of my grandparents photo's from the war. When photo's were rarely taken. Every one looks smart and are wearing their best clothes even when a war is going on. ACE*

I love these kinds of animation with vintage pics!
    could I ask a question...
Are the photos real or did you composed them for the animation (backgrounds, peoples...)
-not sure I'm clear on that one-

This is gorgeously poetically sublime. A work of rare sensitivity. Incredibly inspiring. I would love to learn how to use this technique.

I have to add that I love the layer of patina added to the collages. They add so much depth and texture. And the manner in which the flats move into dimension is exactly what I 'd like to emulate.

Where/what is this movie you mention? Sounds incredible.
