Time Machine
This is a happy accident that happened in After Effects. Accidentally using the time displacement effect I created a time machine. I then used many other visual and sound effects to complete the look.

Michael Mehlhorn 8 months agoIt's actually kinda cool. Can I ask how you did this? Thanks. -
AaronJPatterson 8 months agoI used Adobe After Effects, and used the "Time Displacement" Effect. But instead of using a displacement map, I had the footage use itself as a displacement map, then I masked it, so the effect was only visible around the car. I also added a glow and a blur effect. Then I added lightning, and reflected light from the lightning by just making two blue ovals, feathering them, changing their blending mode, and wiggling the opacity. Last, I added sound effects from Apple's Soundtrack Pro. -
Michael Mehlhorn 8 months agoDo you by chance have the project file available? Also, where did you get the lightening effect form? AE? -
AaronJPatterson 6 days agoRender Lightning has been an available effect in After Effects since forever. You should be able to find lots of online tutorials on how to use the effect properly. -
