Stop Motion Jonas HD

Wanted to reupload this in HD, since the source is 8 megapixel shots. Unfortunately iMovie 06 renders everything as DV. So I moved up to iMovie 08, and it was really quick to do, it actually took more time to save out.
One problem is that the minimum clip length in 08 is less than 06 (.2 vs .05) so things feel a bit slower in this version.

they go really well together.
So is iMovie 08 worth the upgrade? Do you prefer the new controls / features / interface over 06?
08 depends on what you use 06 for. The new time line and clip editing functions make editing really quick and thoughtless. But if you need effects or multiple layer tracks, you'll still have to use 06. For that kinda stuff I use FCP/Motion/AE - so for quick edits 08 is really a blast to use.
Quick tip - you can get more control if you use Quicktime Pro and use the import> image sequence option - there you can select the frames per second you want displayed. It will make the movie in the order the images are numbered. you can also open the individual images and simply copy and paste ones in and out where you'd like too. This way you're not limited to the iMovie frame rate. I think the pro upgrade is like $20 and it gives you a ton of great export and editing features.
Bring some of that water down to the ATL. We're about to run out!
Jacob, I want to see Steadman's videos in HD and he has children to feed. Please overnight him one of the canon HD camera comps the factory sent you so he can begin recording footage immediately.
Thanks!
