This is for all my American and English buddies. Kangaroos in the wild. They don't walk around my backyard, however, nor do they walk around the city.

I'm up the coast at the moment at a little beach town called Crescent Head staying at my holiday house. This walkway was up around the point at one of the camping grounds halfway down the back road to the back beaches (Plumbers, Becky. You should know it).

It's a mummy and a baby grey Kangaroo.

There's one part where my dad goes to pick up a rock near the mummy kangaroo for some reason and she growls at him because she's protecting her baby. It's hilarious.

I also think it's cool seeing the baby joey with the ocean in the background. It's not something you see everyday, even in Australia. You always think of the desert/outback when you think of kangaroos.

Sorry that it takes a while to load, kids. Except that it's been converted so it's lost some of it's quality. Oh well, you can still see the kangaroos!

I know it's what kangaroos do, but I think it's pretty cool how they've evolved to hop everywhere as their mode of transport. They do it so well! Hope you're having an ace holiday Jessuah.

Plus their name is great! It's so fun to say. I've had a few beers, sorry if I'm waffling. It's true though, eh? Kangaroo. Kan-gah-roooooo.

I think if anyone makes a giant boomerang out of a crooked kangaroo, they should call it a kangaroomerang. On that note, I shall bid you goodnight.

    Goodnight.

you know, i had to watch a lot of nature vids and one of them was of a joey being born and devoloping in the pouch. it was outrageous!. they're so tiny when they're born and they only have front limbs developed enough to crawl up into the pouch. it boggles my mind, really. it's so spesh that you can see them in real life!

Wow, quality. All we get round where I live is a load of pigeons and the occassional hedgehog.

And Si, Kangeroomerang!?! What next, a Koalaigerydoo?

Yeah, thanks for this one, that's awesome. But I have a question. Can you ride them? If not, why not? If so, have you? I know I would. Into the sunset.

Kangaroos are so boring when you're an Australian

    Your kangaroos are very handsome.

They aren't boring at all when you're Australian! I get as excited about kangaroos as people from other countries do when they see one for the first time. I see them every time I come up here which is four times a year. I love them! They're gorgeous!

THEY ARE SO CUTE! I don't think I've ever seen home movies of a Kangaroo beofore. I'm amazed at how close you can get to them. Could you pet one if you fed it?

  • Tina Mosh 3 years ago
    1) I find them boring [no doubt that they are cute, but they bore me]
    2) I hate christmas [no really, it sucks]

Okay, well I still don't think you can really speak for all Australians in saying that they bore us all. I'm clearly Australian and am not bored by them, neither is anyone that I've seen kangaroos here with and they are all Australian too.

Blake, you probably could feed them. They are wild, but they are used to having people walk around there all the time. The only kangaroos I wouldn't try to feed would be parents or the big dominant male kangaroos. They're just fiesty anyway.

I would have loved to hug that little joey, though. He was so cute!

"I" find them boring... they still bore "me"
I was just speaking from my point of view as an Australian, how I feel, as an Australian. I wasn't speaking on behalf of Australians

"Kangaroos are so boring when you're an Australian." Maybe you should watch your wording then. That sentence implies that you WERE speaking on behalf of all Australians.
  •
  • Tina Mosh 3 years ago
    Well, I wasn't.

Awww ... look at you two arguing like old friends.... you're such cute girls. :) Well, for the record, chalk up another American finding kangaroos to being pretty intriguing even on video. And happy Australia Day a bit late! (according to my calendar) Is that like your independance day or something?

About a month ago, i got in my car, started it up and then...this kangaroo randomly comes hopping out of someones front yard, across the road in front of me and up the hill... Its never happened before, i doubt it will ever happen agin, but it was quite an experience.
