character wise, it's all based on the A-Team (james is hanibal, jesse is mr. t, marty is murdoch, dave is face, eric is, well, eric is the random 'old friend' who would show up from time to time. the jumpsuits are sort of inspired by the movie bottlerocket, but they really had more to do with trying to create some sort of unified color palate. or something.
