Yellow slime mold (i think?) growing on a log.

North Cascades, Washington

It's about 5 hours worth of growth. Halfway thru, my meter freaked out, and then i accidentally kicked the log, and then the only hikers i saw all day said there was a bear up the trail, so i called it quits.
Plus the flies were brutal.

you're right, but if you look at the very first second or two, and then look at the end you can clearly see the growth there.

Fookin great......kicked the log eh!.....always shifting my subject as well...not very good at accurate....making a light tent over the subject would even out the exposure and keep off some of the insects..good work fella....freakin freaky mold

Is it growing or moving? If you zoom from start to end, it's growing up the log and retreating at the base.

Very cool. One of our producers featured it in a public radio blog post: blog.speakingoffaith.org/post/31255204. Tak.

so so cool! Put it in t-minus.org! (oh wait, I organize this...so yea, I'll put this in it! Or other timelapses you have...submitting is free)

Ranks up there with some of the forest timelapses in the BBC's planet Earth series.
